Skin Cryosurgical

Cryosurgery is a procedure used for benign skin problems. It is often used to destroy abnormal cervical cells that show changes which may lead to cancer. These precancerous skin lesions are destroyed by freezing it with liquid nitrogen.

Cryosurgery is primarily be used to destroy skin cancer, but is rarely used alone. It is the most common treatment for superficial actinic keratoses. It is most effective when applied to a primary lesion (first time skin cancer has appeared), there are multiple skin cancers, or the patient has a bleeding disorder.

Other treatment purposes include warts, moles,  skin tags,  solar keratoses,  Morton's neuroma, as well as intental disorcers (such as liver cancer).

The procedure is relatively painless and quick. The skin is first numbed with an anesthetic and then liquid nitrogen is applied to the tissue. This causes the skin tissue to freeze. The wound heals within 3-6 weeks.
